Following the adopted changes in The Constitution on 20th October 2009 we have introduced a class of HONORARY MEMBERSHIP.

This is for individuals and organisations who have either made significant contribution in the fields of Adult Protection and/or Safeguard, or are an organisation who follows the similar ethos and practice as PAVAUK.

Gary Fitzgerald is Chief Executive of  ACTION ON ELDER ABUSE (AEA) who have been associated with lobbying, consulation and other practices in the fields of prevention of abuse for many years and has sat as an invited member of the Board of PAVAUK.  AEA previously were Associate Members of PAVAUK. Their website and various links can be viewed via  www.elderabuse.org.uk

Mr Glyn Jones BA(Hons) MBA  CQSW is now the Director for Adult Social Care, Bracknell Forest Borough Council  and has been a strong supporter of PAVAUK for many years.

Glyn has held pretty well all officer positions over the many years for which he has been a Trustee and relinquished the reins as Treasurer in 2008.

His new appointment takes him away somewhat from direct AP involvement and places many constraints on his time management and planning which the role of Trustee these days demands.  Glyn does continue to Chair the Bracknell Forest Safeguarding Board.

At the AGM both the President and Chair recorded unrestricted thanks to Glyn for his contribution over the years, but with the knowledge he can be consulted on ad-hoc matters as and when he can make further input. Mr Glyn Jones has been appointed the first Honorary individual member of PAVAUK and will be a hard act to follow.
